Kara Allison Stambach studied Film and Screenwriting at Emerson College in Boston (and then Europe), before transferring to the University of Maryland, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Film, Mythology, and Japanese in 2001. She graduated in 2004 from Johns Hopkins University with a Masters in Fiction Writing. With eight years of industry experience, Kara has polished more than 70 published titles and 130 academic papers, including medical textbooks, scientific journals, screenplays, comics, YA novels, children’s books, marketing materials, and “edutainment” games. Kara enjoys volunteering at animal shelters, Contra dancing, cooking, and studying martial arts. She is very grateful to her grandmother, for introducing her to the magic within books, and to her mother, for teaching her the power of words.
